Martha Giggle, Daughter of a George Giggle, married a George Langstaff in Horbury, 1838.

If anyone knows of her family or when she was born, please let me know.

There is a George and Elizabeth GIGGLE both age 50 on the 1841 census for Cambridgshire. He's an Ag lab, they are living in Long Stow and were both born " out of county"

Don't suppose this helps a lot does it?  ::)

This is no laughing matter! (Ooooh, I can hear the groans. Sorry!) ;D

I have the 1859 probate of John Giggle of Horbury in my probate data base. Executor of John Giggle's Will was William Giggle of Healey, Ossett who was uncle and guardian of Mary and Thomas Giggle (John's children). John was an engineer and William was a foreman.

There are Giggles/geggles/geggals in my wife's tree and therefore my daughters.

George and his daughter Sarah Ann as you noted are the ancestors.

I have been corresponding with a descendent in the US who is VERY serious (buys the certificates for everything) and the giggles who went there were quite prominent.

My wife also has crackles and sabertons

There is a 'Giggle Hill' near horbury - suggests the name is an 'old' one in the area.
